Snowshoeing up the hill

place
lean
push
shift
sink

lean
bent
lift
move

place
lean
push
shift
sink

lean
bent
lift
move

on and on

The raven calls again
the other way
I pass the woodpecker

place
lean
push....

Finally here I am
All my stories for me to see.

Going down the woodpecker calls
I don't take heed
Tripping over my snowshoes,
finally has me sprawling in that snow
OK I turn and listen....
coyotees howl

Then I spread my wings
and fly home
The raven appears briefly
showing the way

I want to snowshoe, too!!! The kids and I went bush-whacking on the weekend, with the dogs, and we were waist-deep in snow. It took about an hour to go a hundred metres! Must.... get.... snowshoes....

That's a great photo Jozien. I love how it drops off into the valley below, and yes, gives a sensation of going into flight.
