Whatever the reason i love open spaces. I did grow up on the flat country site, below sea level, with views reaching to Schipluiden and the Waterweg. Our farm house in a little oasis of trees. I love trees, my father and i we did. My mother had her flower garden, i had mine. So what made me love these mountain tops?
To camp here on the summit underneath the Three Guardsman right above Stonehouse creek. Open spaces among white peaks, creeks gurgling down giving life to flowers, in all sizes and colors.
To let me sleep here, wake up in the morning, i tell you, that for me is paradise.

Mij kan je letterlijk een zucht van verlichting horen slaken als ik in een bosrijkgebied kom. Alsof er dan iets van mij afvalt. Of ik dan iets loslaat. Mijn middelste die niet zo heel goed reageerde als er heel veel prikkels te gelijk waren, had dat zelfde als we in Zeeland kwamen, de uitgestrektheid heeft haar menig keer doen verzuchten, 'wat is het mooi hier'.
Ik vind je foto's prachtig allemaal. Ik zou het bijna allemaal eens in het echt gaan bekijken. Die eindeloze luchten, mooie uitzichten en bergtoppen. Maar voorlopig zit het er niet in zulke uitgaven. En daarnaast beloofden we onze vrienden in het buitenland ook al bezoekjes. Maar ooit.
Van geboorte ben ik een luchtteken, maar vuur en water zijn ook goed vertegenwoordigd. Alleen met aarde heb ik een probleem, misschien wel dat ik teveel geaard wil zijn, misschien moet ik het juist maar eens loslaten en wel gaan zweven. Wie weet waar dat me zal brengen.

Beautiful dear Jozien, the photographs as well as your words about what you see and experience. In France I truly loved the mountains. Not really to be in the gorges, but seeing the big mountain chains beyond. And of course to drive on them and see all kind of beautiful clouds above.
