you know i love this

But it is always a bit disconcerting.
And we don't want him/her to become a regular visitor.
It has been a few years though, since we had a bear right in the yard.
I assume we have less bears hanging around , because our yard is relatively spacious and not much to hide behind.
Now i did cut up that deer last week and buried some scraps. Yes, that's were it was, it found my buried compost...

A year apart is long enough to get you to put your guard down except that you are in wilderness no matter what you do. I would be wary around the compost for a few days I guess and not renew it too soon. If I were opportunist I would want to return to see what happens when big ol' two footeds mosey around their yard. Maybe more deer scrap or something even better...

Wow a Bear! its a big deal for us to have a Hedgehog in our garden. Even though you would'nt want them hanging out everyday. I can imagine that you would be happy to see them once in a while. Wow once more a fine chunky bear he-she is too, plump and ready for a bit of a rest :)
