Spring log 1997

In the spring of 2017 I entered my spring logs, that I kept over the years some years, here. I found another one yesterday.

Spring 1997
feb 2 squirrel active
feb 9 bike riding
feb 22 +5 C
feb 23 rain
february  starting to play  ball and soccer
march 19 mudplay
april 5 it warmed up
april 6 dinner outside

april 7 mud play in our underwear
april 9 +12 C

april 11 transplanted a fuzzy head crocus and saxifrage ( it seems they lived for 10 years and then disappeared)

april 16 transplanted raspberries ( they took off big tie , they dominate the garden in 2020)


april 20 a robin

april 23 transplanted pine trees ( one is a big tree in 2020)

april 24 and 27 did more transplanting, dubious results looking back from 2020)

april 28 still frost every single night

april 28 radishes coming up, seeded under glass.
may 2 robin singing a lot
may 3 blue bird
april 24 snow gone
april 24 grouse drumming
may 2 crocus blooming by the rock
may 15 lots of crocuses blooming on the property
may 15 leaves coming on to the trees
may 21 grey jays have young ones

may 23 ate the first radish
may 24 gooseberrybush blooming

may 25 seeded and planted the garden

may 26 night frost
